The fish international is the meeting place for anybody involved in the fish sector in Germany, taking place in Bremen from February, 9 to 12. For the first time, Naturland fishers and fish farmers are exhibiting together at a joint booth at this international trade fair. Naturland producers present organic rainbow trout and charr and, among others, Naturland partner Cromaris is presenting seabream and seabass from Mediterranean organic aquaculture. Deutsche See, a new partner in the Naturland network presents Naturland pollack from the North Sea as well as Nile perch from Lake Victoria at their own booth at fish international.

These fisheries are certified in accordance with our strict Naturland Wildfish guidelines and are equally committed to a strong focus on the protection of ecosystems as well as to their social responsibility for their employees,” Michael Stienen, the managing director of Naturland Zeichen underlines. In addition to the general guidelines for sustainable capture fishery. Besides the general requirements for sustainable fishing, individual management requirements specific to each project are applicable. Further, all businesses adhere to the obligatory social standards and, of course, all of the Naturland Wildfish products have to be processed in accordance with Naturland organic guidelines.

Naturland is already the leading standard in organic aquaculture and certifies sustainable capture fishery, too. Worldwide, 15 different species in 17 countries are fished and farmed in accordance with Naturland guidelines.
